General construction labourer (Residential Labourer)

Responsibilities include: to load, unload and transport construction materials, mix, pour and spread materials, assist in framing houses, erecting walls and building roofs, level earth to fine grade specifications, assist in demolishing buildings, clean and pile salvaged materials, remove rubble and other debris at construction sites.

  • 5 years or more of experience
  • Work conditions and physical capabilities: fast-paced environment, tight deadlines, repetitive tasks, handling heavy loads, physically demanding, manual dexterity
  • Credentials: Driver’s License (Class 3 or D), Construction Safety Training Systems (CSTS) Certificate, First Aid Certificate, WHMIS Certificate
  • Type of construction: industrial, commercial and institutional, residential
  • Equipment and machinery experience: compactors, concrete vibrators, reciprocating saws, circular saws, concrete saws, mortar and concrete mixers, chippers, sledgehammers, air compressors, air guns, nail guns, chainsaws, augers, trampers
  • Weight handling: Up to 23 kg (50 lbs)
  • Transportation/travel Information: own transportation, own vehicle, willing to travel, willing to travel overnight, valid driver’s license, public transportation is not available
